Thanks for joining me for our very first blog post!
For the past couple of months we’ve been a little quiet, getting a feel for the new name and refining our brand, and today we’re celebrating our official recognition in the form of our Business Registration, so I think now is a great time to really connect with you!
In case you don’t already know, for the past 5 years this business has been operating as Oi! Graphic Design. During that time I’ve built a lovely, and very loyal client base of small business operators. I’ve also had the opportunity to collaborate with other fantastic creatives, and have developed some great relationships from both groups
This year I’ve decided it’s time to flex the creative muscles a little more, and make a few tweaks to the business. I’ve also developed some collaborative partnerships with other creatives through my networks, who I will introduce to you in the near future. It’s the relationships that make my business work, I decided that it was time to come out of hiding, and let my personality show through a little more. I’m putting myself out front and centre, and letting more of my personality show through in the business.
I’m still providing the same great service to our existing clients, creating branding and logos, and developing print marketing material. And now I’m focusing much more on the online business world, particularly our love of styling words through an increased focus on our e-book design services.
So what else is new?
We’ve seen increased requests for custom ebook design, which is particularly exciting, as these are amongst my favourite things to design. In recent months we’ve developed a recipe e-book, the first of Jules Galloway – Naturopath’s raw foods series. We are also in the process of updating a range of e-course materials for Insight Teaching, with other e-book projects in the pipe-line.
For those with smaller budgets, as we’re also developing a range of ebook templates. So keep your eye out for these in the near future.
We’ve also added editing and copy-writing to our list of services, which nicely complements our focus toward e-publishing. Thanks to the freaking awesome Jill Runciman, who has agreed to work with me in that department (and amongst her many talents, she’s a fantastic photographer, too).
I’m now consulting with clients a lot more than before, helping them to discover their brand personality and to develop marketing strategies through 1-1 phone and Skype sessions, which can be arranged by appointment.
Our website is under construction, but changes will be added regularly. You can check out our website’s progress here.
While our website is being set up, our folio is being housed at Behance. You can view our folio here.
Now that I’ve got the ball rolling, I’m looking forward to connecting with you regularly and sharing all of the developments as we progress! And I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below.
